NFIM Fellowship Program
Within NFIM, a Fellow is a membership grade of distinction for those who have made or who are making substantial contributions to one or more Integrative Medicine related profession or area or practice. Fellows are individuals who are elected by the NFIM Board of Trustees for having been responsible for making significant 2nd and 3rd Generation medical advancements and achievements in the improvement of Integrative Medicine. A Fellow candidate should have five years of active participation within NFIM and should hold Senior Member grade at the time of nomination. This five years of Senior Member status within NFIM requirement however, may be waived for any Fellow candidate who has fifteen years of professional practice in an Integrative Medicine domain and who has demonstrated significant achievements or truly outstanding contributions in at least one of the following categories:
1. Integration of medical and medicine related disciplines, theories and methodologies.
2. Development of scientific principles and methods for Integrative Medicine as applied to 2nd and 3rd Generation Medicine.
3. Development of engineering principles and methods for Integrative Medicine as applied to 2nd and 3rd Generation Medicine.
4. Medical industry leadership and innovation.
5. Medical education leadership and creativity.
A nomination for promotion to Fellow must be initiated by a Fellow of NFM or related society or organization and receive support from at least five additional sponsors. The candidate and at least three out of five sponsors must be Members in good standing of NFIM at the time of nomination.
NFIM Fellows
Lifetime Fellows
Those who’ve already made major contributions in one or more of the many Integrative Medicine related domains.
Senior Fellows
Those who have and are making contributions to one or more of our seven area directorates and who are actively managing one or more of the NFIM’s internal labs.
Annual Fellows
Those making contributions to any of the many Integrative Medicine related domains who participate in and contribute to one or more Working Group in the 3rd Gen Med Lab!
Research Fellows
Those actively engaged within NFIM in scientific, engineering and medical research in the Research Group and who may or may not be involved in one or more 3rd Gen Med Lab! Working Group.
